Today our meeting was led by President Theresa Slominski!    We had an open type meeting due to the program not being able to come due to technology reasons, or lack there of!    Theresa did a fine job filling in with important rotary information!

Today is the first Thursday of the month and according to our bylaws, the ballot was presented and nominations accepted for the 2023-24 board of directors slate.  We did not have a quorum to vote, so a vote will not be taken until a quorum is in attendance.  The ballot was presented and President Elect, Debbi Rydberg shared that she has spoken to the people on the slate and if you have nominations, please let her know.  At the meeting, there were no nominations presented.

It is with very sad news, that we share that Rotarian, Molly Hanson’s sister, Anna passed away unexpectedly at 43 years young.  Please keep Anna and her family and friends in your prayers!  A card was sent around the room for Rotarians to sign.

Taste of Elk River Sponsorship Packets have been emailed to each Rotarian and there are printed packets if you prefer that.  They will be at the meetings so please take one to share.  It would be great if each Rotarian could pull in one sponsorship!  Theresa sent around the room, a sheet listing our current sponsors and a place for Rotarians to sign up to commit to contacting that person or persons.  If you know of a new sponsor, please write it on the sheet.   Debbi Rydberg will get the information into the Elk River Area Chamber of commerce electronic newsleter!
Food Vendors – led by Katie Harstad.  Katie has gotten out the food vendor letters and has already reached out to a few.  If you have contact with a food vendor or know of someone, please contact Katie for information.
Beverage Vendors – led by John Osterman.  John reports that the beverage vendors letters have been sent out and he has already received 14 confirmations!
We are on our way!

Yard signs - Debbi Rydberg has received the yard signs for rotary and will bring them in the next few weeks.  Watch for an email from Treasurer Neil Gagnon, with your invoice for payment for the sign(s) you ordered.

Meeting Location
-A discussion was held on locations for our meeting to be held.  We missed our try out date at Rockwoods, but it is rescheduled for Thursday, March 23rd so mark your calendars for that.
-Rockwoods and Pizza Ranch locations were discussed, weighing in on the pros and cons of each.  There are a few things to be checked out in each location before the decision can be made.  If you have an idea, please reach out to President Theresa Slominski.

Bruce Tyler announced that he has read the book The Fred Factor, received from speaker Ken Beaudry, and has passed it forward to Bob Maxwell!

John Osterman shared that he’s been watching and announcing for ER Girls Basketball and he told us to keep an eye on them as they enter tournament time.  He shared a little play by play!

President Theresa led us in a fun game next!  Each Rotarian rolled the dice and the number they got had a corresponding number with a question on a card.  You were to answer the question!
